About Dr. Kevin Lowey

I have practiced chiropractic since graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO in 1980.  I set up an office in Newton Center, MA for 10 years with my twin brother, Dr. Ken Lowey, and sister in law, Dr. Anne Lowey.  My wife, Jane, and I moved to Brewster in 1990, and our son, Jake, is a graduate of  Nauset High School and RPI.   I am blessed to have practiced in Orleans since 1991.

I received my first adjustment at about age 6.  From that experience and seeing my father heal with chiropractic care from a ruptured lower back disc injury, I knew from the time I was in middle school I wanted to become a chiropractor.  I really enjoy caring for children- I adjusted Jake when he was about 1 hour old (wellness care at its best!) and have adjusted people from newborns up to age 98- I am still looking for my first 100 year old patient!

My specialties of care include applied kinesiology, activator, acupressure, laser therapy, nutrition, sports injury care, certified in Brimhall protocol, and most of all, wellness care.  I believe the future of each of us and our planet depends on knowing how we can keep ourselves well; not having lives of crisis care, “put out the fire”, health values.  If we can handle the 3 main stressors in life, (1) physical/structural, (2) emotional/psychological and (3) chemical/nutritional, we can have the life of our dreams.  And that, I believe, is why we are here- to live a life of excellence.
